MMR and sleep?

DS had his jabs last week, and every time he's had immunisations they've really affected him. He's come out in a rash, slightly raised temp etc and last night he was awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night and refused to be comforted-I ended up on his bedroom floor Shock considering I have work today that's not ideal. Will things go back to normal? (Can you hear the desperation?!)

Yes I should think so! DD2 had hers last week and she has been fine, give it a few more days and see how he is. You have my sympathy, DD2 still doesn't sleep well and is usually awake a few times in the night - no fun!
Mumsnet Mantra time - this too shall pass

My DS2 had his MMR last week, and he reacted the day before yesterday (5 days between jab and reaction). Raised temperature, rash, clingy etc. He didn't sleep at all well that night. I gave calpol. But last night, he slept through absolutely fine and I think he is out of it now.

Good luck.

Poor baby-he's been Velcro baby and really rashy and grumpy Hmm he's reacted horribly to all his jabs so far so not really too much of a surprise really...! Haven't heard from the childminder today so think we're ok (touch wood!) he's staying at grandma's tonight-so she can sit up with him if necessary!
