Help! DS now 14 weeks and HAD got into lovely nap routine of 45 mins ish at 9-10am (we get up at 7 ish) followed by a two hour snooooze around lunchtime. Yes I admit, I gina forded him and it seemed to work. HOWEVER he now seems to sleep for about 20-45 mins at lunchtime (morning nap still fine) and then wake up and howl pitifully to be picked up. I've tried feeding him but it doesn't work. I've changed his nappy, he doesn't seem to have wind and I can't think why he won't sleep. can he just have 'grown out of' the need for as much of a lunchtime nap? He doesn't have an afternoon nap any more and gets grumpy just around 5-6pm but his bath ususally cheers him upAny advice?

HI Twiglett - no I tend to leave him to see if he will drop off - sometimes he does but not today (or yesterday) and I feel TERRIBLE leaving him howling his little heart out.

We usually have a feed at around 1030-1130 and then he goes down around 1pm - sometimes with a little top up before hand
