Baby pukes when given Medised

And he has a cold, so isn't sleeping very well. Tonight is the 2nd night I've tried Medised, I did it really slowly - 1 ml slowly from a syringe, but, like last night he puked immediately.

Has anyone else experienced this? what did you do?

Mine does, too.

I just give her Calpol and use Snuffle Baby on her.

Actually, both my girls puke it. DD1 will take Nurofen but not Calpol.

DD2 will take Calpol but not Nurofen.

doe she have low muscle tone? dd2 couldnt tolertae medicines due to her gagging all the time. try some snufflebabe on his chest, some karvol in the room, and elevate him slightly.

yes, ds vomits every time we've tried any type of medicine. he's 11mths, and i now put it in with his milk or water so he can drink it instead.

littlerach · 14/05/2006 21:03

DD2 has always puked on this, but is fine wih nurofen.

Whew, think I've managed to get him down. Gave him some Calpol.

Misdee, yes he has low tone, I didn't realise this made them gag. Will get some Snufflebabe abd Neurofen tomorrow.

Thanks ladies Smile

Our little girl is more likely to be sick if we give medised too. Thanks for solving something, sorry cant help.

Try Dozol. Same active ingredients as Medised but not horrific pink with scary taste.
You can buy it in independent chemists. Boots don't stock it.
