This is my first child and i dont know if i am doing his sleep and eat patterns correctly can someone give me advice? Basically he has 7 feeds a day sometimes sleeping alot throughout the days other times not. At night he has a feed at 6.3opm then at 9.30 then the next one at 3.00 then at 6.30 in the morning should i continue the feeds like that or should i try to make him go longer during the night and should i try to increase the feeds by more than 3 hours as he does this during the day or should i just leave it help confused!!!!!!!!

At 2 months best to go with what your ds wants (which at this age is what he needs). Trying to settle a hungry baby is pointless and will only teach him that when he cries he will have to do it for ages to get fed.

I know that you have probably heard it before but it does get easier. i started my little one in a routine at about eight weeks. have you read gina ford and the baby whisperer i found them very helpful

Sounds normal to me, the same as dd (2 months), she feeds up to 9 times during the day, sleeps from 9.30 , wakes at 3 and then again at 6ish, sometimes she has 2 bottles in 2 hours, i feed her when she wants.

at 8 weeks I just went with the flow, fed them when they were hungry etc, didn't try to make them go longer at all....ever!!

They eventually get into their own pattern IME.
