i bf her. or cuddle. am crap at leaving her to cry, it upsets both of us, so i don't. they're only babies still.

Tutter · 08/05/2006 20:22

used to cuddle/rock him. but then he got really heavy. 2 nights of cc and he then settled himself happily. honestly - just 2 nights. now i kiss him and walk out.

not for everyone i know but for us it was a breeze (and i'd been sht scared of it beforehand). good luck x

Can you not do cc during the day so DD1 isn't woken up? At 11 months she'll get the hang of it pretty soon.

Sad

cant watch/listen to her crying.

I still give my dd2 (15 months) a bottle at bedtime and she goes to sleep on my knee.
Am due in August and have no idea what i'm going to do then!
Either i'll have to stagger their bedtimes or lie so they can all touch meGrin

Hope you find what you're comfortable with+

My ds is 13mths and is breastfed to sleep at night and for daytime naps, where he sleeps on my lap! Don't plan to stop this until I feel he is old enough to understand about going to sleep by himself. Couldn't and wouldn't want to do CC either.

UKmum4 · 08/05/2006 21:25

jstbcs I can't do controlled crying eitherSad i really can't
dd2 is 11 months - falls asleep on me at evening bf - wakes up the second she is put down -cries for 5 minutes then falls asleep as soon as i go and rescue her from crying. sure it technically breaks all the advice from health visitors etc. but I have 4 kids to get to bed and dh is often not home so....

would stear clear of controlld crying - loads of reasearch why (breaks trust etc)
i breastfeed to sleep and co sleep so cant really give any advice! Smile
have you thought about baby whisperers pick up put down method? its not leaving your baby to cry on their own at least?
