My 19 month old dd had flu last week and now is finding it hard to fall asleep... Wanting all the conditions perfect, milk to very sleepy, me there, my bed or me in her cot!

I have a 4 year old and can't sustain it.

She has been in bed with us at night and sleeps well in bed with us.

I've done cc with her too many times. I absolutely hate it but I've been driven to it before.

She is getting older so I was wondering if there was anyone with good ideas - I'd so much prefer the gradual withdrawal etc if she would lie down and not cry.

Don't know what I'm asking really except maybe some shared stories... I went through this over and over with my son until he could talk well and then I sat in his room between being 2 and 3... For the last year he has just listened to audio stories....

Any experience anyone?
