My 12yr old dd can't sleep. Literally
I am getting really worried about her because she will go for days without a minuite of sleep. She says that nothing is worrying her, and I have checked that she isn't just gaming or something
Any advice gratefully recieved

I spent most of my life like this, just can't sleep. Then a few weeks ago I got a weighted blanket, which I admit I was extremely sceptical about. Now I'm out like a light every night. I can't believe how much of a difference it makes.

I struggle with sleep. I need a very dark room with no gadgets (phone needs to be off/in another room) - I won't keep my computer in the room. I have to stop going on computers/screens an hour before bed, retreat into the dark room with tiny low bedside light and read before trying to sleep. Then if I can't sleep still I will a read a book (if I look at my phone in the night it makes it worse). Kind of like a bedtime routine for adults, I have camomile tea and everything.

How do you know how much sleep she is getting? How is she in the day? Is it a new thing or has she always had trouble sleeping? Does she have any allergies, health issues etc?
