Where do you put your 3mo DC to sleep?

What I mean is, when you DC goes down for the night (mine at about 8pm) do you take them to their cot/basket in the bedroom whilst you return to the lounge/kitchen etc? Or do you let them sleep in the kitchen/lounge near you until you decide to go to bed? I haven't been feeling comfortable enough to leave him upstairs whilst I'm downstairs x

I know what you mean but I did put dd1 up to bed at 7 she slept better ans was a lot more comfy she slept a solid 12 hours. is now 6months old and is in a great routine I didn't want to start her off getting to sleep down stairs.

In own bed. Has done since about 6 weeks.

Mine slept in the carrycot in the living room until we went up to bed then we took them up with us.

The SIDS advice is they should sleep in the same room as you for the first 6mths.

Until 6 months ds slept in living room with us then went up with me at10.00. We would relax him into sleep about 7. Pj's on Dim light, tv down or music on instead of tv.
If you don't feel comfortable with dc upstairs don't do it. It's so contradictory the SIDS advice says for them to always sleep in the same room as you (day & night) until 6 months but then every bloody book, site etc seems to ignore this. It's 6 months - I know people talk about 'getting their evening back' but I liked seeing my baby was safe. And as often dc would do longest stretch of sleep 10-5 after he'd been slightly stirred at 10 I got quite a lot of sleep too. Until the dreaded 4 month sleep regression.

He's currently fasto in his Moses basket in the front room whilst I watch the Kardashians!! Also don't completely trust my DD5 not to wake up and go into the room where he is and try to pick him up etc!
