To dreamfeed or not?

Ds 24 weeks has never been a good sleeper I've been lucky to get 5 hours and that's rare.
He goes to bed in his own room well at 7 and before I started a dreamfeed would wake any time between 12 and 2 for a bottle, then again 4 hours later. Depending on what time the next bottle was, he would sometimes go back to sleep for an hour or so after (if it was 5am for example).
So the last few nights I've tried a dreamfeed at 10 and he has been hungry enough to take a whole bottle. The first night was good- woke once at around 3.30 and then around 6.30 awake for the day. But the last two nights he has woken at 2 and then as early as 5.30 anyway- same as without dreamfeed.
I am also waking often to re settle in between these times.
I'm now not sure whether to continue dreamfeeding as without it I can get a really early night, but I've been staying up til 10 in order to do it.
I just wish I was getting more sleep by now but he seems so hungry still at night. Will be starting solids in couple of weeks.
Any advice appreciated.

I personally never did a dream feed, DS was waking about the same number of times until I weaned him and he started to move around more in the day, so he wasn't as hungry and he was more tired. If he's waking the same number of times anyway I'd ditch it and just go to bed early!

Thanks teacher - yes that was my hunch really what's the point if it makes no difference! He tends to mess about during the day with feeds and guzzle every drop at night so prob best not to increase the amount at night because of that aswell.
Dreamfeeds worked perfectly with my dd so it's frustrating that they don't work to get me more sleep this time round!
I really hope weaning helps with the night hunger, it feels neverending!
