Stopping day naps already??

My 1 month old lb usually sleeps throughout the day inbetween feeds and the odd hour or two of play time, but today he's only had 2 twenty minute naps and has been feeding like the clappers!! He seems to be fairly happy. Is it normal for them to drop their daytime sleeps like this so suddenly??? Going he's getting ready for a long sleep tonight!!

Sounds like he is just having a growth spurt, I'm sure he'll be sleeping again in a day or two.

When dd as newborn she would have growth spurts and cluster feed from dawn till dusk. Quite literally attached to boob with barely a breath all day. It would last a few days and then she would sleep for a day or so, and then none of her clothes would fit :o

The feeding isn't unusual from him as he is a bit boob happy when it comes to his milk, it's more the sudden decision to stop sleeping which has confused me!! He must have had 3 20 minute naps all day, which for a baby who has longer sleeps and more of them is quite strange. He did drop off at about 9pm though and had just woken for his first night feed. Will see what tomorrow brings......

Thanks for your replies. You'll be hearing from me in two days staying that he's outgrown all of his clothes!!

Mine did that yesterday. he's 2 months, and slept through last night! He did nap just fine today.

Just to update you, he was back to 'normal' today, spending most of him time in the land of nod! Random worry over! Zzz
