I can - my dd is 5 and wakes up 3-8 times a night. And is resistant to the many sedatives she has been presribed. :( We've been seeing the behavioural nurse from the hospital for 1.5 years now with no result.
Am really fed up.

OMG you poor thing. I thought ds was bad! dd who is 6 years older has always been the model sleeper - through the night from 9 weeks. 7.30 - 7.30 for the past 9 or so years. so i'm convinced it's nothing to do with me! must just be in their make-up (unfortunately)

Sam is a match for geekgrrl at six, at one point he ahd to be checked four hourly. We don't get any help though- Envy of you. he si awaiting a dx for AS, but that looks to be years away atm due to waiting lists.

DS2 is a FAB sleeper, but ds3 will wander too, maybe twice? (he's only little) so actually I am permanently sleep deprived and used to it.

Well, DS1 is now great (4.3yrs), but woke every hour for the first 13/14 months then about 5/6 times per night until he was 2.9yrs.

DS2 (19m) wakes 4/5 times per night, and won't settle back down until he'd been cuddled (yeah, yeah, rod for my own back and all that but he shares with ds1 who now goes to school so I can't have him keeping him awake all night). Will wake as soon as you try to sneak out, and always wants to get up at about 5.30am latest.

Am very tired Sad.

dd's friend is 5.5 and still hasn't slept through on a regular basis. Most nights she gets up in the middle of the night and plays with her toys. Her parents have now set up a video or something similar so she can turn it on herself without her disturbing them.

bubblerock · 30/04/2006 19:43

DS2 is 2.5 and still wakes up most nights, he hasn't had naps for ages and he could quite happily survive on a few hours sleep. It has really affected our lives Sad

I think many of the SN mothers have children w/sleep problems that just don't compare, unfortunately.

littlerach · 30/04/2006 19:50

DD2 is 20 months and has slept through perhaps 10 times.

PITA thing is that she doesn't wake for anything in particular, just wakes and shouts "mummmmeeeeee" a number of times, then I open her door, sometimes that is enought o put her back to sleep, sometimes I pat er back once or twice.

jambuttie · 01/05/2006 09:12

My DT1(2.4) is up anywhere from 6- 12 times and thats a good nightSad

hester · 01/05/2006 21:48

My dd is six months and wakes hourly. In fact, I am about to start a thread asking for advice.

I didn't know it was possible to last this long on such little sleep Sad
