Flipping over in cot

What the heck do you do about it? We've had a good nap time routine for a few months, with some problems along the way. Put DS (9 1/2 mo) down for his nap at 1pm and he keeps flipping over onto his tummy and then shouting for me to come and turn him over. He can't sleep on his tummy, only on his side or his back. Problem is that now he thinks it's a game and keeps laughing his head off. I know he's doing it as he'd rather not be having a nap thank you mummy. However he is tired and needs one, and I am tired and I need one. Do I just leave him even though he's turned over and he'll work out how to sleep like that eventually?

I'd just leave him to it.

I would leave him to it too.

I did leave him to it! He did proper howling for about 2 minutes and then settled off and slept for an hour... There's always SOMETHING, isn't there?!
