Can anyone help?! My 5 yr old daughter has always been a good sleeper but recently gets very upset when I leave her in her room. She wants me to stay upstairs near her room, not actually in it but close. She constantly calls out to check if I am still upstairs and this is stopping her falling asleep. She obviously anxious and however much I reassure her it's always the same...she has a drink, light, door open etc. anyone got any bright ideas?!

Ds went through a phase like this last year at age 4 and I put the baby monitor in his room but gave him the parent one (volume on low) and kept the baby one downstairs so he could listen to me pottering while he fell asleep. After a couple weeks I just didnt switch the monitor on and then after another couple weeks I took the monitor out. Would that work for you?
