12month old cot or cosleep?

Any advice or experience gratefully received!

Dd cot was in our room until a few days ago. She used to sleep in the cot from 7 til I went to bed at 10,usually waking around that time for a bf and to come into my bed. She would then sleep all night, with two or three bf which never really woke me, so everyone got lots of sleep.

Dh decided he wanted his place in bed back and I respect that decision, much as I love nighttime cuddles with dd. So we moved her cot to her room.

It has been a disaster! She wakes every hour in panic as she realises I'm not there, cries until I get there (she's not keen on dh settling her). I didnt expect this as to me, the cot being in another room is not a big deal and she's allowed to come in my bed at 10 still (we haven't tried to reduce the cosleeping yet as the early evenings are such a disaster I've ended up going to bed with dd at about 9 to stop her distress...)

Has anyone else had this issue?how do we tackle it?I spend lots of time in her room playing during the day, so she's familiar with it....do we move the cot back?is there a better age to change the routine? Separation anxiety seems bad at the moment, I don't want to upset dd too much as she starts at the childminder insix weeks.
