Night feeds at 10 months?

Have recently moved to bottle feeding from breastfeeding. Ds is 10 months and eats well during te day but isn't really fussed about milk except for when he's sleepy so tends to have one bottle after his nap, one before bed and one at 11pm.

It's the 11pm one I'm wondering about. He wakes up every night at around this time and consistently downs his bottle.

He then tends to wake again at least once at which point I either cuddle him back to sleep or give him a quick breastfeed (not sure how long supply will last to continue with this)

I'm wondering if I should be trying to drop the 11pm bottle or whether he still genuinely needs it. I've tried increasing his milk intake during the day but he's not really interested.

I'm holding out hope that he might eventually sleep through the night at some point this year!

My HV said that until they are a year, they often still need milk in the night as they are making the transition from getting all their nutrition from milk, to then getting it from food. She is very nice and sensible and suggested that if he won't drink more milk then i should try and make him eat it instead!

DS is 8mo and won't take a bottle and I am trying to wean him off breastfeeding. So I am doing as she sugggested and giving him a yoghurt just before his bath and a cup of formula in a vain attempt to get more milk in him. I also attempt to hide milk in pretty much everything he eats...! I am also offering him water in the night when he wakes, as he's had a horrible cold and I think he's actually thirsty a lot of the time. Sometimes it works and he settles again, sometimes it doesn't.
