Hello

I am at my wits end and ready to pack my bags and leave home! My ds is 7mo and is a bugger at night:( I have a 2yo who was easier, although not perfect, but my ds is getting beyond a joke.

I co slept with both for 4 months as bf, and although my ds sleeps in his cot now in the day quite happily, at night, and bedtime he is a pain. He goes down (i give him his evening bottle and he dozes off) I let his wind come up, then lie him down - within 20 mins he's howling. We have done the controlled crying, to no avail, he gets so worked up he sometimes vomits.

He also wakes up at 2.30/3am and is awake till 5/5.30, last night was awake and hollering from 12.45 till 5.30 - I am knackered, and I cannot take it anymore! If i had known I would never have another:(

I am so tired to keep walking up the stairs to do CC - I just want to leave him there and let him get on with it, but perhaps that's a bit mean, and he just gets more and more wound up (but is he already playing me for a mug)

Any tips?

p.s. he has 2 teeth through, is not dribbling much at mo, but I do give him calpol if he is dribbly etc.

many thanks

When he wakes up at 2.20/3 can't you just take him into bed with you? Sounds like you'd all get more sleep without the stress of cc.
I did cc with DS1. It worked but I hated how it made me (and ds1) feel, so won't be doing it again with ds2. If his sleep stays as appalling as it currently is I'll use a gentler approach when he's older (he's 6mo at the mo).
And remember 'this too shall pass'. Things will change again whatever you do Smile
