Ds is 3 months old. Can I put a cot bumper on his cot, or do I need to wait until he is older? Thanks!

I wouldn't put a cot bumper on even when he is older tbh. They really serve no purpose and can be dangerous.

Thanks Missy, really wasn't sure. When he is awake in his cot, he puts his arms through the bar, so didn't want him doing it in his sleep, and waking himself up. We will just see how it goes!

this is a great alternative to a bumper.

We have an air wrap and it's great. Stops DS banging his head on the side of the cot, but safer than a bumper Smile

When did you start using it, teacher?

Erm... We bought it in jojo and it was really hot weather, so it must have been August...! I reckon he was about 4mo, it was when he started to get wriggly in his cot. Before that he didn't move much when in bed, now I go and get him in the morning and he's upside down, all sorts!

I'll second (err third) the airwrap. I got a four sided one off ebay for about £15 when ds was about 7mo. Don't know why I didn't get one earlier. Not only does it make the cot seem a lot more snugglier but stops stray hands/feet getting stuck (although there are two gaps and dh did manage to get both legs stuck in one during a nap) and stopped us crawling about on the floor at 3 in the morning looking for a stray dummy.
