I've been having some success with gradual retreat and night weaning. Now i only feed 6 month old DD at 10pm, 2.30am and sometime after 5.30 when she comes into bed.
She had been close to self settling at bedtime and we had a couple of nights where she woke at the feeding times and was asleep and /or self settling outside of these.
Then we had cold and teething (teeth still not through but pain seems less) and christmas guests so i reverted to feeding more often.
The big problem is she just keeps flipping over. She's been able to turn for ages but now seems to do it in her sleep and wake herself up.
I keep finding her on all fours. If i leave her she seems to end up very upset and on all fours backed against the base board.
How do i help her to stop doing this and learn to settle? Or does she grow out of it, and if so when?
Back to work in 4 weeks and can't survive on 5 hours a night!
