Hi. 5month old has been going through the night for about 2 months. He goes down at 6:30 and wakes at 5:30. Dies anyone have any tips to get him to sleep longer? He wakes cause he's hungry (drains 7oz in bout 5min) but then seems to think its play time. We've tried putting him down later, dream feeding, leaving him when he wakes (but giggles turn to screams quickly).
All out of ideas??
Thanks

It seems like you are writing about my DD Grin When she hit 5 months mark, any time between 4.30 and 5.15 was wake up time. I think that's the nature of a baby. Her twin brother wakes up at 7am, if I dont get her out of the room quick enough Hmm
We've tried everything you mentioned with no result. Now she is 6.5 months and things are improving towards 6.15 Grin
I am afraid I have no advice and hopefully that is just a phase, so stock up on patience and Brew

waking early can be quite common at this age as they approach the point where they need to drop the tea time cat nap & the morning nap needs to be a little later.

Quite honestly though, his bedtime is early & an 11hr night really is good, esp if he's napping well in the day too. You might get a later wakeup time if you slowly push naps & bedtime 30 mins later. If his naps are poor i would suggest posting his routine & we may be able to offer some suggestions.
