4 month old won't settle to sleep

ds2 is just over 4 months. He is the loveliest natured little boy all day but just screams himself to sleep every night. We leave him to scram for 10 mins then tryt o rte-settle him, but this can go on for an hour. It's draining for everyone and I feel so sorry for him.

Any ideas? We have got a light display and a comforter for him but these things don't seem to be working (they worked with ds1). Do I just leave him to scream? DS1 is 2 and demanding so I am torn in different directions at bedtime especially.

Any ideas gratefully received. And merry christmas!!

Google 'four month sleep regression'. It's all true...!

And please, please don't leave him to scream for an hour each night. Four months is far to young to do sleep training.
