Change with co-sleeping baby

I co-sleep (following all safety advice) with DD who is 3 months. I have noticed over the past week or so that she wriggles and kicks a lot if she's snuggled up to me (previously this is the only way she would sleep) When I move away she settles down and sleeps fairly peacefully. However, when she does wake up she cries straight away as I'm not right there, she settles as zoo as I snuggle up to her (she usually needs feeding to sleep again).

I have ordered a co-sleeping bedside crib thingy and we're just waiting for it to be delivered, I'm hoping that this will work and give her some of her own space. I guess I'm looking for advice on what to do until the crib arrives and any advice on the crying when she wakes and realises she's not snuggled to me?

Can you maintain contact but not be snuggled right up - such as holding hands while you sleep?

Dd no longer sleeps snuggled up to me but likes to have her feet on me (and then wakes me up with repeated kicks to the bladder )

I slept with her feet touching me last night and that seemed to help, tried holding her hand but she has recently 'discovered' them and is teething so they are permanently in her mouth!

Our co-sleeping crib arrived today, fingers crossed she'll spend some of the night in there, wish me luck, she didnt look impressed when dh was putting it together!

We love our cosleeping cot! DS transferred really well from snuggled next to me into it. I make sure I line up with his head and eye line and sleep with my hand next to his side which I pop straight onto his tummy if he stirs etc. I cannot express how much I love sleeping so close to him :-)
