8 mo stopped settling at night

My 8 mo DD has stopped settling in the evening to go to sleep. She used to settle without problem but now cries for a couple of hours (with comfort) before nodding off. Anyone got any ideas? She still settles with no problem for her naps.

Having the exact same problem here. DS is still not asleep. I'm wondering if He needs to drop from 3 to 2 naps, so will be interested to see what others say. No help sorry...

We're already on two naps - have been for about 4 months now. Maybe they just lull us into a false sense of security and then tease us...
