She will be 2 in jan but sleeps like a new born. She never used to be this bad. I have been ill for the last couple of months and it takes ages to get her back to sleep if I don't feed her. I don't have the energy and dh works away from home. If I bring her in with me she wakes up even more. I really want to get well but I need to get good sleep. No idea what to do.

Hey, you sound like me a little earlier this year, it's uncanny. DH working away, check! Poorly (in my case sudden & mysterious onset of asthma and allergies), check! Boob dependent toddler demanding feeding back to sleep all bloody night, check.

My DD was a little older at 2.5 but I decided to completely night-wean her when my husband had an unexpected week working from home. Night 1 was not pretty, but then she just got it. By night 3 she went off without a protest. She does still like me next to her as she falls asleep, and is generally in my bed by midnight. But she walks through and climbs in herself and I don't hear a peep from her until morning. Bliss!

One sad side effect was that she spontaneously day weened too, so I do kind of miss our milky cuddles on the sofa. She is happy though and I'm getting my 8 hours so all is well.

Boosting in the hope of help. Her habits are awful. She has has me up five times. She took 3 hours to settle to sleep in the first place.

You at all depressing me ladies. My 9 month old is like this, I thought he would magically grow out of it. I hate the thought of letting him cry but I don't want to be doing this a year and a half down the line.....
