My 16wk,(this Thurs),dd has been v good at sleeping the last few weeks, considering her unsettled state up to 8weeks,she was always up from 3am onward. Now she is more like this ;7pm-11pm bottle & then 11:30pm-5:00am bottle, 5:30-7:00. Thought 3am up time had stopped, but she has started doing it again the last few nights. Does this mean she needs weaning , will this make her more settled???(although reading other posts, may be not!!!!). She seems to be taking 25-26 oz a day (Aaptamil first) and only weighs 10.8 , but isnt always interested in upping her milk intake. Wasnt sure were to post this ; food /sleep or feeding???

melsy, not sure about why your dd is waking but my dd2 has been all over the place and weaning didn't make a jot of difference! I exclusively breastfed for 6 mths and then introduced solids, some nights she wakes just once and others about 6 times (& all chirpy refuses go to back to sleep ). good luck!

Your experience is very similar to mine and a friend of mine as well. I think that some babies go through an unsettled period at this age regardless of food. We both found that if just tough it out the phase just passes after about a week. Sorry can't give any better advice.

my dd (15 weeks) has started waking more too - much the same pattern you describe - i was wondering the same, but (fingers crossed) some nights recently have been better again.
