DS (5 months) sometimes sleeps through from 7 30pm to 6am. Sometimes he wakes in the night for a feed, but not at any set time. Any ideas about how to ensure he consistently sleeps through. Should I ignore him if he wakes? Seems a bit harsh!

Think he is still a bit young for any kind of sleep training, but what started to do about a month ago with our now nearly 7mo was just give her a cuddle or pat and chat to her rather than automatically feed. She normally was fine with that and therefore didn't really need milk just a quick cuddle. She sleeps til 7.30 consistently now. Hths

If he sometimes wakes for a feed it is because sometimes he is hungry. Simple. If he is normally a good sleeper then chances are he will gradually drop the remaining feed himself.
