It is the most frustrating thing in the world and we are going mad. He has had it since birth, literally the day he was born, and is now 4 years and 3 months. It gets worse when he is ill and when coming into or out of light sleep. All I want to know is - does anyone have any bright ideas as to how to get rid or reduce symptoms? He bangs his head and hums loudly so we all hear him. He is perfectly aware he is doing it most of the time, and refuses to stop. He is ds3 of 4 and at varying intervals wakes us all up, many times a night. Any ideas please as I can't take much more (also have 4 month old dd who is being woken in the night and I am having to feed her back to sleep because I can't cope with the continued screaming from her if I don't feed her, as it keeps him in a light sleep and therefore banging!!!). Thanks
