9yo ds having trouble getting to sleep...

9yo ds has always been a pretty good sleeper, but in the last couple of months seems to be having at least 2/3 nights a week when he has real trouble getting to sleep. Once he's asleep he's fine.

I don't think anything has changed - screen time the same, no family/room changes, routine the same. And if anything he is doing more exercise than before...

Is this just a "growing up" phase? I know I had probs on and off getting to sleep as a child, but can't remember how old I was lol. He is not bad about it, so it is not a problem in that respect. I just wondered if there is anything else I can try to help him please?

Maybe should add that some nights he only clocks up about 8.5hrs of sleep, which from googling, I don't think is enough...

Audiobooks help me (mild insomnia)... I have the Harry Potters on a loop Grin

Ohhh, good idea, will suggest to him later, thanks :) We read to him, then he normally reads to himself for a while, but maybe the background noise would help...
