Gro-bag with an older child??

DD (20 months) always wore a gro-bag when she was younger but when she started standing/walking I just gave her a low tog quilt instead as she was falling over a lot by standing on the bag.

We have now brought a caravan and are hoping to have a few weekends away this year. A gro-bag would be really usefull as obviously it gets quite chilly in a caravan during the colder months and DD tends to wriggle out of her quilt several times a night at home.

Has anyone used a gro-bag with an older child or has anyone got any other ideas to keep DD snuggly? Thanks x

Ds was super attached to his and we got him a much bigger one that he was in until about six and a half Grin

You can buy them up to age 10.

DS2 wore his until at least 2.5 when he went into a bed.

Vertbaudet do ones with removable sleeves, they might be good for a caravan.

mine was in his till he went into a bed at 2.3. enjoying getting them out for DS2!

Well you do learn something new everyday....10 years old you say! Well I never.

We have one with arms, it was brilliant in the winter.

You can buy them much bigger in limited styles from jojo - seems like the I vinous choice but child sleeping might be cheaper

ds (3.5) has always slept in one and I am continuing to wedge him into his 18-36 month ones as I am too mean to buy a 3-6 years one Blush.

If you have one near you, TK Maxx often has 18-36 month Grobags for sale, but they may be in "boys" designs, but that never bothered me (ds is using a flowery one of his sister's!)

There are loads on eBay.

Piemistress · 05/09/2012 20:25

John Lewis and h&m also sell them up to 36m. Ds is 2.8 and still uses them. Primark sell cheap fleecy sleepsuits that would be cosy underneath

JockSprockPooPongMcPlop · 05/09/2012 20:26

I'd like one for myself.

You can also get babygrow type things that are furry/warm. We used these when DS went into a bed. Mothercare sell them as do (I think) primarni and so do sainsbury's sometimes

mamababa · 05/09/2012 20:35

Mothercare call there babygrow things walk in sleeper. Sorry cant do the link. Buy one get one half price at the moment Smile
