I thought we were onto a winner with DD, she was sleeping 12 hours, lovely naps during the day and she was self settling. Then just before she turned 4 months she started waking in the night again, only napping for 45 mins or so and refusing to settle on her own. I kept thinking it was the 4 month sleep regression phase but shes now 5 months and its still the same but the added problem now is that she rolls onto her front and wakes herself up. I don't offer any milk in the night and to be fair she isn't crying she's just awake and noisy. I normally end up putting her in our bed because it seems to be the only thing that settles her but it means I don't sleep very well. At nap times she now fights it until shes almost hysterical and I need to either cuddle her to sleep or hold her hand/stroke her face. The other problem with naps is that inevitably 22m DS will come charging into the bedroom just as shes closed her eyes and wake her up again. I've tried distractions but its very hit and miss, he's extremely nosy.

I'd probably be ok riding it out longer but i'm starting work on Tuesday with a 45 min drive each way so I need to be alert. DH is going to help more at night but I really want to be working towards a resolution to this! Any ideas?

For ds now 19 mo the 4m regression lasted until he was 9mo, at which point he had another one which was even worse.

Sorry. Not very helpful.
