My lo has always been really good st night goi.g down at about 6.30pm just put in cot to self settle which she does quickly then bottle about 1 and 6 straight back to sleep and then up at 8!!! Last month or so has gone down ok but not settling after night feed, screaming when we leave the room. If left gets hysterical so we'be been taking in to cosleep and she goes straight off! Back to work next week and want to try and sort her out!!! Any suggestions welcome? Should we give water instead of milk so eventually she doesn't bother to wake up? Also daytime naps have become a battle- could previously just put her in pram when showing tired signs and leave he, now loads of tears and having to take her for walks to settle. Food also issue, used to eat well but now spits most things out

Help please!!!!!!!!!

ash have you got the Wonder Weeks book or signed up for the emails? At nine months they usually have a huge develpment leap which affects all of those things.

Have you read this on the 9 month sleep regression?

As for the food, solids should just be complemtary to milk until they are one so don't worry if she is refusing food. Just give her some finger foods to chuck at you nibble on, and clear away when you've both finished. If she does eat anything, just assume she's not hungry and don't offer any alternatives.

Ah thanks for your reply, yes I gave got the wonderweeks book, but keep losing track of her age in weeks!!! That's interesting about the sleep regression hadn't seen that. Had a much better night last night and naps back to normal today so hopefully turning a corner! Decided I would just remove her food if she spits it cos I think that's what they do at nursery, but didn't she go and eat her whole fruit pot perfectly today!!! Typical

Same situation here! DS just turned 10 months and has gone from sleeping through the night (most of the time) to waking 2/3 times a night, impossible to settle and ready to party!! Up for swathes of time in the early hours wanting to chat and them screaming if I leave the room. Naps also a nightmare and like you I'm resorting to a spin around the park in the pram as this seems to be the only way to wind him down Hmm

No advice to offer I'm afraid as I'm in exactly the same boat but just wanted you to know you're not alone. Have been googling like mad and from the sounds of things a 9 month regression is very common and you just have to wait it out. We've had a rough 3 weeks already so I'm hoping we're nearing the end [stupidly optimistic emoticon]. Had a very brief chat with a sleep expert and they just said try to remain as consistent as poss and try not to implement anything now that you don't want to follow through in the future (extra feeds/co-sleeping) as they are very susceptible to forming bad sleep habits at this stage. Sigh..... Looks like I'm destined to hours propped up on the chair in the nursery then!!
