Can't work my 8 month old out. Sleeps 7-7.30 some nights, then wakes 12+4onlygo to sleep in our bed or with bottle. Have good bedtime routine, rgular meal + naptimes but he has no pattern at all. Any suggestions?

unfortunately no! Just lots of sympathy... I've got the same erratic lack-of-pattern and 'm trying to just stick with our routine and keeping my fingers crossed for an improvement (mind you, he's NEVER gone 7-7.30!!!!) He's been cutting a tooth for a few weeks, and now he's got a cold. Neither of which help!

my 8 month old sometimes wakes at 5am but we kind of ignore it, unless she's obviously unhappy or needing us. I'm assuming your baby won't allow you to ignore it?

Flipping frustrating age, isn't it? Actually, I think every age/stage so far has been frustrating!

Think that I probably expect too much from him. Has slept 7 -7.30 for past 2 nights which is lovely. They're just so unpredictable are'nt they! I guess it makes for an interesting life though!!! He does seem to be very sensitive to change and not particularly adaptable. I find myself building my day around his nap times because he becomes reluctant to sleep when we're out and about but then becomes really cross if he misses a nap. The joys eh?
