Sorry, I am posting ALL the time about this but want some experiences please because I can't for the life of me remember going through this with DS

DD is 8.5months, has had a few weeks of gradually crapper sleep, waking more in the night but not easily soothed, becoming more difficult to settle for naps (now only being fed to sleep about 50% of the time)

She has in the last 6 weeks

  • travelled to the UK and back (from West Coast America)
  • travelling around UK for a month
  • 2 teeth come through
  • inoculations
  • a yeast infection which turned into/was on top of a viral infection
  • finally learnt to roll onto her tummy
  • making more movements towards crawling

Is this all part and parcel or at least the reasons behind this regression and should I just stop fighting it and trying to "fix" it and survive for now? Anyone did that and eventually came out the other side?

Give in, do whatever it takes to get through and it'll be better by the time they're 12 months. Sorry, this is the only thing that worked for ds's1&2!

How bad is the sleep? My baby feeds to sleep but its currently getting better.

It's not in fairness as bad as some friends' babies. The feeding to sleep issue is only really an issue because when it doesn't work neither of us know how to get her to sleep - cue screaming! She's waking about every 2 hours in the night, having gone down to just waking at 5am, won't always feed (and I don't want to encourage feeding every time she wakes)...keep attempting to start sleep training but keep failing Sad
