Rule defiant 8 WO terrifies me....help!

My DD is 8 WO today. She will only sleep on her tummy, I don't mind during the day as she naps next to me but night time terrifies me. I have ordered an angel care mat so hopefully that can make the situation slightly safer. If I put her on her back she screams and wont sleep. Think 15:00 to 22:00 :(

The other thing is that she hates a gro bag, I have only managed to get her in it twice but again screams! But as she is on her tummy she wriggles and travels a lot, last night she moved 180 degrees! This means I am too scared to put a blanket on her, so at the moment she is just in a vest.

Has anyone had the same thing so I don't feel alone? Or advice please? I am so scared of SIDS.

Thanks

Do you think it could be trapped wind or reflux? Hve you tried her on a wedge shaped pillow so that she is not lieing flat. We got one for dd about the same age and it made a huge differance to her sleep, it was a bit like magic!

DD also didn't like grobags when she was little and we used blankets. We used light cotton ones and always made sure they where below her arms and she was at the bottom of the cot so that she didn't wriggle under them. Alternatively you can get padded or fleece sleepsuits you could use instead so she keeps warm but you don't need any covers.

Have you tried swaddling? Mine is 6wo and also likes to sleep on his front (on me, in sling or next to me during day). I swaddle him at night and he sleeps okay. He's desperately trying to suck his thumb at the moment, which is easier for him on his front as he can sort of wedge it in. I'll start swaddling with his hands up by his face tonight.

It could be? But I think she just likes to be snugly, when she finishes a feed she always puts her head face down into my armpit and flips her self tummy down. I'm a tummy sleeper too!

I will look at wedges though, i will try anything! I will defo look at the warm sleep suits they sound like they could be the answer to my fear of her suffocating herself.

Thank you for your advice :)

I used to swaddle her but she hates it now :(

Then when we put her in her front I thought it was no longer safe.

Thanks for the suggestion :)

2 things here. Ds1 hated sleeping on his back as he had reflux. He liked the amby hammock. It was the only thing he would sleep on apart from me and dh. Ds 2 who is 4 months old just prefers his stomach, has not got reflux or anything but does not like back sleeping. He will sleep on his side sometimes though. What I have got for him is an aero sleep cover for cot mattress which I got v cheap On eBay. It has a 3d breathable layer which makes it safe for stomach sleepers. Might help
