Well actually that's a lie..... He WILL nap, just not in his cot!!
He used to settle to his two naps a day pretty easily with a bit of a cuddle and a sing but for the last week or so NO WAY. I'm having to resort to taking him for a quick spin around the block in his pram twice a day. To be fair to him, once back he is drowsy and relaxed and I can then transfer him to his cot with very little problem. I'm guessing therefore that the problem is not the cot itself but just that he can't seem to switch his brain off. Now DS I KNOW that life is SO exciting now you can crawl but do you really have to scream like I'm murdering you every time we go into your nursery and draw the blind?!?!
Night time sleep is also a bit dodgy at the moment as he seems to keep sitting himself up in his sleep and then waking up. Last night I was up about 5 times.....
Now I'm sure this is just the infamous 9 month sleep regressing so I don't really know why I'm posting..... Anyone going through similar? Anyone got through the other side? I guess what worries me is all the 'bad habits' we seem to be falling into (pram, feeding to sleep at night, extra cuddles, rocking etc.) and the words 'rods' and 'backs' are being regularly mentioned by well meaning mothers!!
Sigh..... An repeat after me..... 'this too shall pass, this too shall pass....'
