Does everyone have any tips on introducing the sleep clock to 22.5 month DD? There are very few instructions with it.
Thanks

For a 2yr old, I'd explain it in simple terms- blue means stay in bed, yellow means get up. Nothing more detailed than that.

There is a story book that you can use to introduce it if your child will understand that...

I got one recently for my 3yo. It worked brilliantly as she totally understands the ide. She loves it and tells everyone about it and she absolutely wont get out of bed now til its yellow! Grin

Oh ginger, I'm so glad it works for you. I have a lot of hopes pinned on this Smile.

I am gonna start it tonight.

Good luck- it took a couple of mornings but it clicked easily.

I think an important part of it is building up to it slowly. So, if your DD normally waked around 5.30am and you would rather it was 6am (just a guess at some times!) then the first night you should set it for 5.30am. It may seem pointless but the idea is that on the first night she doesnt really have to wait at all so 'gets it right' straight away.

The next night you set it for a few mins after 5.30 so she only has to wait a short while. You continue with this until you get tothe time you are happy with.

Not entirely sure if this makes sense! Hope so.

Yep, set it for the time they usually get up at first. Then increase it really slowly.

If the DC wakes before the sun then no talking, act like you would in the dead of night.

But she can wake anytime before 4.30 and 6

I've decided to leave it til the week after next as my mum is here next week so lots of things will be different (covering CM holiday)

Thanks for your tips though ladies!
