First night in a bed for ds2, any tips?

So tonight is ds2's first time in a bed and I was just wondering whether there is anything anyone else had done that made it all go a bit smoother or if anyone had any tips. We managed it with ds1 fine but I can't really remember what we did! He is 22 months old.

I had one side of the bed against the wall and I rolled up a large towel to insert under the bottom sheet of the other (i.e. 'open' side of the bed) to form a sort of bumper to stop my ds from rolling out. As time went on I just used a smaller towel until the 'sausage' it made under the sheet was so small it wasn't worth bothering with.

Hope you have a peaceful night!

Thank you for the advice. We have had 2 fairly successful nights although he did manage to climb into our bed the first night without us noticing !

Well done! I have no issue with children I don't notice climbing in to my bed - it's only the ones with pointy elbows, jabbing knees and freezing feet that I want to keep out!
