8 week jabs

Hi,

My DS had his first set of jabs on Monday and since then his sleep has been appalling. He is a terrible napper at the best of times but usually settles reasonably well at night, going down at about 7.30pm, waking 3-5 times a night before getting up for the day at around 6.30. Since Monday he's been taking ages to settle in the evenings and screaming and screaming. Last night he finally went down at 10pm, then woke up at 10.30 absolutely inconsolable. I took him in bed with me, and we got some sleep, but he still was really unsettled. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks

Poor little one. They can suffer a bit after the jabs. Have you tried any calpol with him?

When DS had his first round, he was out of sorts for a few days and we got to the same inconsolable point. I gave in at that point after having been determined not to give calpol and gave him some. That was all he needed and then he was fine. He did spit half of it back out!

You are the only one who is going to know whether that is the right course of action.

I gave him calpol and he was still really hot and unsettled. Monday and tuesday nights were pretty rubbish but he did settle eventually, last night he was restless all night. Have made a drs appt, he had the jabs 3 days ago and seems to be getting worse... He is feverish and all sad :-(
