ds 17 weeks and just recovered from ear infection, night time sleep gone to pot.

he would usually go down around 10pm (swaddled), fidget about 6/7am and get in with me until 8ish. since he has been ill he last until about 3am, wont go back down and cries like your cutting his arm offf. dh has been up last 2 mornings at 5 & 4.30am, ds all snug in his arms flat out. he seems to think its his way or no way.

dd 4 now and fab baby, not prepared for this and feel like a new mum.

Hi Indiamb

I am sure dr explained to you that ear infections are most painful at night, and the pressure is worse when lyng down.

I would say front sleeping is unlikely to help in this situation, but hopefully once his ear is completely better he will be back to sleeping properly.

It took DS about 10 days to completely clear his, a week of which he was on A/Bs for.

Hope you and he get some sleep really soon xx
