...keep everything quiet for a baby to sleep, and for 12wks I've stuck to that, making sure things are as noisy as they're ever going to be so I don't have to 'shhhhbe quiet so the baby can sleep'. I've also had her literally stuck to me for almost every minute of the day or night, either in her sling, sleeping next to me or on my lap. Recently she's consented to sitting in a chair by herself as long as she can see you (I guess since her eyesight's got good enough so she can see we haven't abandoned her?).

But tonight, she is actually asleep by herself in her chair, and she did it all by herself, no rocking etc.

What's different? We're in a darkened room with total peace Hmm all the time her dad was in making a noise she was fidgeting, as soon as he left all went quiet and she went off!

So I guess she does just like her peace and quiet and we'll have to tiptoe about anyway!

It is amazing to be able to type without her on my knee though! Grin

haha awww bless her.
yes sometimes I think peace and quiet is needed. I couldn't sleep with loads of noise going on either!

Stop typing... start sleeping yourself to make the most of it!!

haha, no worries on sleep for me - I've coslept and think I maybe lose half and hour of sleep most nights? I just leave a boob out and she helps herself Grin

weirdly I've become nocturnal though - always liked and early night before but now I find I'm staying up til midnight/1 o clock?! Hmm
