DS first night in cot... I KNOW I'm a dreadful worrier but please reassure me!

Up till now, DS (8mo) has slept in a baby hammock, but he'd getting a bit cramped in it and tonight we've put him in his cot bed for the first time. He's gone to sleep OK (he has napped in the cot before and feels comfortable in it). But I'm a bag of worries. As per usual. (Please leave thread anyone who is fed up with my endless paranoia... )

In the hammock, he can't turn over, so now I'm worried he'll turn onto his face. He's also a big wriggler and I'm afraid he'll wriggle upwards and end up with his grobag too tight against his throat. And he looks so tiny and lost in big cotbed... I just want to pop him back in cosy hammock.

Someone give me a slap and tell me he'll be fine.

he'll be fine! i posted a very similar thread the first night i put ds in his cot in his own room!

starlover · 26/02/2006 23:04

btw it was the best night's sleep either of us had had!

snowleopard · 26/02/2006 23:07

Thank you

Ironically I will probably have a worse night's sleep than normal as he's a good sleeper anyway, but I'll probably feel the need to get up and creep in and check on him.

again!

that's ok too! when i was posting about it spacecadet and rtkangamummy were lovely about it and told me how they both still go in and check their 11/12 yr olds!

Aww thanks starlover. Probably nothing is going to stop me being a worrier, so hearing about other worriers at least makes me feel less insane...

yep!
ds looked tiny when he first went in his cot and I desperately wanted him back in my room with me.
He loves it though!
