When do they start using pillows?

Hi everyone

At what age do you start using pillows? My DS was one a couple of weeks ago, and just lately in his cot he's started using certain bears as a pillow, i wondered whether i should get him one or not??

Any ideas?

Thanks

I was wondering this, ds is nearly 3 and still doesn't use one (he roams all over our enormous bed so a pillow would seem a bit pointless unless it was strapped to the back of his head).

Do they actually have any advantages as far as sleep quality goes or is it just a comfort thing?

Apparently they are okay to use from 1 year - my DS was about 16 months when he first had one . Hop3e this helps.

Think i5t is just a comfort thing but I know I get a sore neck if I sleep without one

I got DS one a few months ago. He's nearly 16months now. I just thought it would be nice! However, I am a little pillow obsessive!

Well... this is it, i think it must be a comfort thing, coz as you say, it would need to be taped to their heads! Hmm... dunno, might put one in, see what he does with it

The only place the pillow goes actually is on the floor in the morning when he wakes up! He seems to like his pillow. Must take after mummy in that respect!

gave dd one a few weeks ago (she's 13 months) as she seemed uncomfortable, was using her arms and teddies as pillows and falling off. also when she's in bed for morning cuddles she always rests her head on my shoulder. both dp and i are pillow obsessives though so maybe i'm just projecting!
