Sleeping past 5.30am

Hi there, we used to have major issues with baby's sleep (getting up between every 45mins to 1 hour ll throughout the night). At 6.5 months we did a bit f cc with pu/pd which has worked fantastically, baby now sleeps 7pm - 5.30am. She then has- bottle and goes back down til 7.30am-8am.

Am I expecting too much by trying to get her to sleep past 5.30am and wake a little later or should I be happy with this amount of sleep?

I just feel like she obviously is sleepy as she goes back down but after 5.30am she won't resettle unless she has a bottle, but then on the other hand I think it's perfectly reasonable to want a bottle after 10.5 hours sleep.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks.

Think since she goes back to sleep and you are not having to get up at half five then I would be happy with that amount of sleep, especially since you have had a hard time sleep wise before this. You could try putting her to bed slightly later but it sounds like she is waking hungry rather than had enough sleep so it would probably make no difference.

Thank you Popsy, I think it s a hunger thing as I've tried putting her to bed 15 mins later and it makes no difference...she went back down til 8am this morning so think I will shut up and be grateful for the sleep(!)
