Not sure if there is anything I can do about this but my 8 week old seems to be getting worse not better with her sleep, she drops off about 9.30pm and then from 2am ish onwards shes not awake but shes restless and grunting in her sleep, I have her swaddled but it doesnt seem to help. I usually leave her to it until 4 ish when she starts sucking in her sleep which I take as her feeding cue, she feeds and goes down again about 5-5.30 am and now she is doing the same - wriggling and grunting from 6am onwards but refuses a bottle if offered

I am absolutely shattered is there anything I can be doing differently?

Don't wake her up to feed at 4am, if you wait and see how long she goes naturally it might push it to 5am and then you would have one less wake up. As for the grunting in sleep, I know what you mean, I find it hard to sleep through it. Also having sleep issues with 8 week old here. We try to put him down at half seven (with limited success sometimes even though he is knackered) and then we dream feed from a bottle at about 10.30 to 11pm depending on when it looks like he is in a light sleep. Then he does sleep ok until waking to feed at 3.30. After that it's a bit of a struggle from 4.30 until he next gets hungry about 6.30. But at least I have had a few hours earlier in the night. I express at 9.30 and then go to bed so if I am lucky I get to sleep from 10 to 3.30. However, it doesn't always work that way!
