Has anyone used a sleep specialist?

We are thinking of contacting gentlesleepsolutions to try to get a solution to DD1's early waking? Has anyone used a similar service? Did it work?

You might get as good advice on here and it would be free!
What is the issue?

Thanks Cerealqueen. I have posted a few times on here and people always give helpful advice and lots of sympathy.

DD1, 2.6yo, was a great sleeper before she moved into a bed, 4 months ago.

Initially, she refused to nap in her bed and would get out of bed multiple times at bedtime and many times throughout the night, then get up at about 6am.

She was completely exhausted. We fixed the night wakings by making her have really long naps in the day (in the car) and early nights (7pm).

After 3 weeks the night wakings and getting out at bedtime stopped.
But the mornings got earlier and earlier. Now 4.55am and getting earlier.

We have tried no nap, short nap, long nap, early bedtime, late bedtime.

We have a blackout blind.

We have a gro-clock and she seems to understand it, but ignores it.

DD2 is 4 months and will wake up if DD1 is too noisy. If I try to put her back in bed, she screams. She will wriggle and moan relatively quietly in our bed for about 20 mins then one of us has to take her downstairs.

Any ideas?

Hmm, early mornings are hellish. I feel your pain.
Have you asked her about her new bed, something she doesn't like? Can you add a rail to make her feel more secure?
You say she understands, could you use bribery? say she can't have something she usually loves unless she stays in bed? Or a reward chart?
