DS is 7 weeks and has started to roll onto his side when in his cot.

Is it ok to leave him like this or should i put him back on his back?

Its so hard with your first born.. everythings a worry u and you want to stick to all the rules.. But honestly... if he's happy should you move him?!?!!?!?!?!?
Its my understanding that some babies just dont like being laid on their back!

You have to go with your instincts because if you go against them its YOU who is unhappy and you will never settle!

Thanks, it is hard!

Think I may leave him then as he seems content. We've already had a choking episode which ended up in A&E. Sad I guess made me paranoid but I will try my best to relax Smile

The A&E visit must have been scary. Was the choking reflux related?

I'd never admit it to the HV, but my LO has always slept on her side as it's the only position she can sleep in. On her back she screams with pain from stomach acid, thrashes around with wind and is generally miserable.

It is scary and I sometimes have to reposition her because she nuzzles her head into the darkest corner and I'm frightened she won't get enough air.

Have you thought about getting an Angelcare monitor? It obviously won't stop the choking but it would keep an eye on her breathing.
