DS has just had a stinker of a cold but is much better, albeit a bit snotty now. But it's meant he's been waking up loads in the night and I've been rushing to him to bf him/ give Calpol etc.

So, he's just woken now (after going to bed at 7pm) and is hollering. DH reckons need to leave him for ten minutes but I feel awful! How do you get them sleeping again after being poorly?

10 minutes wont do any harm, I find with my children after being ill, they sleep exeptionaly well to catch up on those nights they were waking every hour.

yay, he's gone back to sleep. took only about 6 minutes. am always paranoid he's either done a poo (never has done at night tho) or climbed out of cot. but if I go in he gets a zillion times more upset when I put him down. hoo hum - he'll be up again soon, no doubt.

thanks, Waterfalls.
