In the heat...

I know I shouldn't be complaining about the sunshine...but,likeme, our babies don't like the heat. At all!
It wasn't even that hot last night (room was around 24) but I just couldn't get them to settle.
I tried all the common sense things but does anyone have any top tips for keeping rooms cool? Or can anyone recommend an air cooling unit? I've just been googling and the only ones I can find have poor feedback.
Thanks ever so much x

We bought an air conditioning unit for £50 when dd1 was a few months old as her room was 27 degrees but a complete waste of money... Didn't do a thing. Just blew the air around.

I think they recommend putting fans on to circulate the air and hanging a wet muslin in front of the fan. We tended to just hang lots of wet muslins but not sure it did much.

Can also put a bowl of cold water in front of a fan... Essentially what an air con unit does.

Obviously windows open and minimal layers!!!
