Sleep training clocks - can they work for a 14 month old??

I'm probably being overly optimistic but a friend mentioned that her friend tried a sleep training clock for a 9 month old and it worked.

This is an urban baby legend isn't it? Or has anyone else found this?

If not I'll join the other thread about early risers for support!

I bought one and it hasn't made a blind bit if difference.
I am hoping it will when he is older and understands it better (is 3now)
Until then we bribe him with chocolate stars... If you stay in your bed all night you get some in the morning! Has worked the last 3 nights

A 9 month old wouldn't be able to understand it surely?! My friend tried it on her 4 year old and it worked for a couple if days!

I figured they couldn't understand it at that age either. Maybe it coincided with that baby starting to sleep through.

Am still tempted to try anything it for 14 mo DS. Another 4.30 start today yawn
