DS2 finally cut his first tooth this week and when i had a proper look in his mouth i could see the top 2 in his gums ready to come out and the other bottom is just trying to peep thru.

Anbesol'd him and have just nedised'ed him but hes still whimpering and i know he will be up all night, what else can i do? hes not cuddly when hes upset just wriggly so the sleeping-in-my-arms-all-night-as-a-last-resort option won't work

I have the same problem at the moment

Have you tried swaddling him to sleep? My baby hated it when she was younger, but the childminder started doing it and it's helping her sleep better. We wrap her in a sheet.

Try chamomilla homeopathic granules from chemist - worked wonders with dd especially with her molars, you just need to reduce the dosage as symptoms improve - sure there must be a website to explain homeopathic theories.

mogwai, he hates covers so i can never cover him till hes aslepp(hes 10 months) and he likes to get to sleep by sticking his legs up(wierd child!)

RRH, thanks for that i will have look in chemist today. eally needed a solution last night tho, ended up with himscreaming til 2 and then he fell asleep on me til morning. woke DS1 up and even DP woke which is unheard of.

Thanks for advise tho, hopefully he will b ok tonight, seems fine at mo although is very distrusting of me going nr hs mouth!
