Triplet routine.

My triplets are 11 weeks tomorrow. ( although they were 6 weeks early)
At the moment they are feeding every 3/4 hours. Today one of them went 6 hours without waking. They are all doing really well and gaining weight. The Hv is pleased with them.
I'm wondering how I'm supposed to get them all feeding and napping at the same time. Will this ever happen??? Any advice much appreciated.

Wow. Sorry, no advice, but had to just say wow!

I have one child, now 14 months.

You have 3 all at the same time??

Congratulations and wow!

Hope someone will come along with advice for you.

Sorry, I have no advice either, but just wanted to say 'hat's off' to you. I really, really, really wouldn't worry about any sort of routine at the moment, just make sure if there is a tiny gap in any 24 hours when they are all asleep, then to make sure you sleep.
Oh, and ask everybody you know for some help, and ask random strangers for help too.
Try Homestart - when my friend had triplets they didn't have enough volunteers, but they said they would certainly have come to help if they did.

Again, wow and congratulations!

I know its not the same but my twins came home on a 4 hourly schedule from hospital. During the day if one seemed as if they would go longer, I woke to feed so they were both fed at the same time. At night until they got to around 10lb I also woke to feed at 3am (they were tiny so had to get the food into them), once they got bigger though would only feed the one that woke and leave the other one. They were off for a couple of weeks but then both started to go through together and I always woke them to feed them at 7am.

By feeding at the same time their naps have seemed to fall into place at the same time too.

I still wake to feed now they are 9 months (6.3 corrected), I think with multiples routines are a saviour.

Huge congratulations, my mind boggles as to how you logistically cope with three! Are you ff or bf - can you even feed them at the same time propping bottles up etc?

Wow congratulations!

My friend is a live in nanny of twins and she has managed to have them in a 4 hourly routine since they were quite small. She was bottle feeding, it may complicate things if you are breast feeding? It also meant that she did leave them to cry for a while to get them into the routine. She always feeds/changes the same one first so she doesn't have to keep remembering who needs what!

Congratulations again, I can't imagine 3 babies! Smile
